My daughter & I hiked 8/22-8/27 with rest days in between hiking days.
Day 1 Hiked to Moose Falls tentsite. Rain, mud up Fire Warden Trail. Cold damp night camping.
Day 2 Climbed Avery, West Peak (both socked in with fog) & South Horn (nice view!), down Horn's Pond Trail. Stayed at Hostel of Maine in Eustis.
Day 3 Rest/beach day at Flagstaff Lake.
Day 4 Crocker, North Crocker & Redington from Caribou Valley Road. 7.8" of clearance in Bronco was fine, only one bad spot. First two anti-climatic, bushwhack to Redington was fun & actually had a bit of a view. Back to H.O.ME
Day 5 Smalls Falls in Rangeley, back to H.O.ME
Day 6 Spaulding from CV Rd, much easier than previous days hiking. Back to H.O.ME. Can't say enough good about this place.
Day 7 Camped at Rangeley Lake State Park on our way home.
Total of about 34 miles on new knee 15 months ago. Need to go back for Abraham & then 5 in VT will finish my NE67 4K.
