NO, not mine! You won't get mine until my dead body does a wet exit from it.
I'm not allowing For Sale posts on the site, but this deal is too good to pass up so I figured I should let the readers know about it.
I saw this listing on the North Shore Paddlers Network website:
http://www.nspn.org/htdocs/dcforum/DCForumID4/473.html
It is a P&H Orion and a fiberglass paddle for $1500. That is CHEAP! If anyone is toying with the idea of getting a nice glass sea kayak you should check with this guy and see if he still has it.
Speaking of the Orion, I exchanged emails with the folks at P&H (in England) and found out some interesting info on the Orion. I know my Orion was hand made in England and is a little rare here, but I never realized how rare. P&H stopped doing production runs of Orions 5 years ago. They still make Orions, but only handmade for custom orders. I knew that, but I did not realize how low the numbers are. They have only made 18 in the last 5 years. My boat is one of the 18 and since mine is the British version (no day hatch, just two large hatches) and not the American version, mine is pretty darn rare in the US. In fact, I think there is only 1 other one in the States.
The guy that originally custom ordered mine thought that the color was the wrong shade of blue when it came in. P&H said "no problem" and promptly made him another one. I local guide I know hooked me up with the "wrong color" one and I got a $3000+ boat brand new for $1995.
