Made the Loop clockwise (my preferred direction despite AMCs opinion). We started at the new trail parking. Quite impressive. The Old Cook path trailhead still exists but there is a sign to use the new trailhead. They really need to put some signage on the road to the trailhead to keep folks from driving up a private driveway.
It was quite warm in the gulch compared to past trips. There are still some patches of Ice visible. I hadn't done the trip down to the waterfalls lately but its still is recovering from the loss of the mature growth. Its going to be a long time before a new canopy forms.
All trails were in good shape.
