No bike->hike transition point on Rt 16 just south of Pinkham with the current format. So your zoo phobia probably is unfounded.

The zoo I was referring to are not the racers as much as the crowds that look for a place to park. The overflow lots are not plowed out yet (unless its been done ion the last few days) and Wildcat it running at capacity. Recent snow means snowbanks close to the sides of the road so anyone parking along RT 16 is in the breakdown lane.

Agreed ! We were driving by Pinkahm Notch last weekend and the traffic out on 16 was def a zoo. I cannot imagine it not being the same or more so during a race event. Hope all have fun and are safe !
