Keene area snow conditions?

The snow in the capital region is a hard crusty disaster after the rain, for ski touring or snowshoeing. Anyone know what the snow composition is in the Keene area for a snowshoe trek up Owls Head?

still soft in most places.
especially with the wind drifts
but it's not bad for snowshoeing
the snow wasn't that wet or heavy either
so it was real nice yesteday up Big Slide

Lots of snow in Keene

Just back from Whiteface Auto road - snow was great!!!

Keene looked good as we drove through - aside from Roaring Brook Falls becoming a waterfall instead of an ice climb!
