We hear this noise often, the dog does not like it. This morning I went out with my camera. Disturbing noise if you don't know what it is:

Thanks for sharing. We had a gray fox that hung around here once for a few weeks, calling constantly in our yard and nearby. It got so annoying that I started to harbor some unneighborly thoughts about sharing the planet with it much longer.
