Date of Hike: Sun 11/9/14

Trail Conditions: leaves, leaves and more leaves, which given the wetness could be slippery and obscure underlying rocks for a few ankle-twisters. Minor mud pits down low. All water crossings were non-issues. Trace snow starting at the Stony Brook crossing which is I think about 1.1 mile up, increasing to maybe 2 inches at the top.

Special Equipment Required: light traction - we could have used it on the last .5 or so on ascent but wore on descent for about 1 hour 15 min until snow was gone.

Comments: Nice 52 WAV view take - limited though very nice views south and west toward Sawyer Pond area, ?Green's Cliff? and (if you stand on the rock where the geological survey marker is embedded) Chocorua. Also great view of Mt Washington to the east as you ascend/descend. Definitely the trail less traveled as we met only 2 other parties all day. More of a workout than expected for 2550' gain but a great day.
