Left from Little East Pond and found scrappy but manageable going to the ridge. Mostly head down-push through scrub littered with rotten blowdown. Once on the ridge the climb up Middle Scar was not bad at all with lots of little herd/people paths, but fairly steep in spots. Took a more direct route back down and found surprisingly easy going until a few tenths from the pond when things got ugly. All and all not nearly as bad as I was expecting, but still a rough one. My third and probably last time on Scar Ridge. You get funny looks from the tourists at East Pond when your drenched and covered in blood and pine needles.
It was very sad signing my first register without Yogi.....miss you buddy.
