I'm trying to find posts with info about Dix in the Adirondacks, but I'm hitting a technical snag. "Dix" is too short for search term, so I've searched Dix Adirondacks, but as you might imagine, that comes back with a lot of hits . . .

Is there a way to force the search to include both words in the search? I've tried "AND" but it didn't seem to work.

If I'm missing the obvious, I apologize :)

To prove a point, I once wrote an entire post in 1-3 letter words and called it the unsearchable post.

"We did Dix, it was fun. We saw the sun up in the sky. It was hot! ... "

If you want more info on Dix, I could also suggest http://www.adkhighpeaks.com/forums/ (a non-profit group of hikers, but not the ADK)

Do you mind linking? I can't seem to find it in a search...
Google can find almost anything....
http://www.adkhighpeaks.com/forums/...-near-newcomb-upper-works-does-search-work-ok post #6
(Very similar to Tom's example and user TFR looks suspiciously like an alias for Tom Rankin...)

Google search string:
"We did Dix it was fun We saw the sun up in the sky It was hot"
(without the quotes)
https://www.google.com/#q=We+did+Dix+it+was+fun+We+saw+the+sun+up+in+the+sky+It+was+hot&*

Note: if you wish to restrict your search to a single website, use Google advanced search https://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en&fg=1 (also reachable from the main page by clicking on settings)
