Want to get paid to sit on top of a mountain?

The state is looking for three part time forest fire lookouts for three North Country Towers. Magalloway, Prospect and Milan Hill from April to October. Definitely a done for the love of the work as the pay is $13.64 an hour. Prospect and Milan Hill are drive up, Magalloway is a hike.

What a great retirement job this would be. I love Pittsburg and have always considered Magalloway to be one of the most underrated hikes in NH. Unfortunately I'm still a few years away from retiring.

No but the Cellular reception is awesome at Magalloway. The flip side of it is most of the signal if not all is from Canada. Our first hike up there about six years ago my cell phone starting pinging off the hook with a warning that I was hitting towers over the boarder and surcharges would be applied. So if you were to have a Canadien provider you might just have a chance at streaming.
