Planning now to paddle on Cranberry Lake April 29-May 1.

Most everything is out. Hoel Pond still has some large chunks in it, and some of the smaller ponds have slivers of ice down the middle. This weekend everything will be open, I guarantee it!

Canceled Cranberry trip due to widespread flooding in the Adirondacks. DEC recommends everyone to stay off the trails and waterways due to landslide danger and unusually high water levels.

Exactly! It's a pretty impressive sight. You can check out videos and pictures of the flooding on Long Lake's Facebook page, and other places.
Route 28 is currently closed in sections, as are many other roads. Floodwood Road is closed except for emergency use only.
Best if everyone waits until next week for a paddling trip!
