I enjoy your blog. Great pics and great observations. I ended up reading almost the whole thing
FYI, The lower 1 mile was a relocation laid out by the FS but built by local boy scouts. There is one section of fairly extensive rock work that has nicely blended in so that unless pointed out, few notice it. With the exception of the stream crossing I have enjoyed the relo compared to the old route, but some folks still use the old route.
