  • Yes. Fran loved the pics. Her work is crazy right now and she hasn't had time to get on forums at all. Definitely looking forward to Allen next year...and finishing on Big Slide!!
Sure...let me know when you want to hit the NH peaks and what you'd be up for. Does this mean that you're working on the NE115 list? A presi traverse is on my list of things to do - would you be up for one? FYI - I haven't done one yet either - I've managed to miss all the presi traverses that my friends have done.
Thanks for the greenie! And thanks for starting the thread about weight loss. I have nothing but pretty long hikes left for the 46 and definitely need the inspiration to take of some poundage. I didn't like running into the wall on Redfield. I made it but was starting to have my doubts after leaving the tributary. I know that carrying a lighter load would make a big difference. Congrats again on your success!!
Hey. got 'em! Pics are great. I miss the canyon. Hope we can get down there soon. Nice pics of Cheese Whiz!!
P.S. Keep your shirt on...you're scaring the children.
That is really freakin awesome, Adam! Really, man, congrats on finding your new healthier, lighter, happier lifestyle!! Only when I took action did I realize that I actually had control over my body - I think you too have found that out. Rock on! :)
Hi Adam, I'm so sorry your daughter has the flu! I hope she and your wife feel better soon.

My girls are 6 and 4. We're homeschoolers, so their lives are going on as usual, though I'm now asking friends to take them to their various social activities since I can't drive. This leaves my afternoons free to do things I haven't been able to get to for a while (stationary activities), so I'm actually grateful for this bizarre opportunity.

That being said, if more than a few weeks go by without hiking, I may start to wig out.

    Thanks ag
Thank you so much for your kind message! So far, it's not so bad, as long as I keep taking the pain meds. In a strange way, it's a blessing -- kids and I are forced to stay in for a while and not do all the running around we usually do. Sometimes it's a good thing, before forced to slow down.
you come and help me finish the house contruction and maybe I'll get to it! Then again...
Good. Maybe I'll make that one!!! Let him know that there are some that really strung out finishing!!!! [me]
Good for you -- hiking and losing weight! Watch out for the Stinging Needles in Cats!! They really suck. I knew you were on Seth's 46... good stuff and good for Viewseeker! When (or did) that happen??
I'm trying to drop some weight as well..... 15 lbs would make me very happy, especially now that winter is coming, lol. Have a great weekend!
I've engaged in bets before on loosing weight and it works very well. I have never thought about a bet where one has to maintain weight while another looses it. Does this interest you?
Down 2 more this morning but I might have been a little deydrated upon waking. I'm not drinking so that may be making a difference.
I only lost 2 lbs in the first mo but my activity is up, averaging 45 min moderate intensity (70-80% max HR) aerobics 4x a week and building up to 4 hrs total.
