Ya i use a fleece long shirt that has 2 zippers in the front that can fit alot of things. thats where i put stuff that needs to stay warm. i can fit a camera and snickers in there.

ya i think its ok to cut a tree, but i think they should have you plant 1 also.

Back a long time ago i did a over night hike and slept on top of Old Speck fire tower. We watched over 10 fire works. It was the best thing, it was a clear night and the sky was all colors. I would say its the worth the trip

Simple things not done, can lead to big things if not done when your out in the wilderness. Sign the book. And they should find out how far he can really go being 70's

Well from what i been reading with the 17yr boy,it was just not smart. and we dont hear the hole story, but what we hear from the story, it makes them look bad to the public and nonhiker. i seem to have to explain to freinds what they maybe did and didnt do.

well how much do you think i can get done in 12 days. and how far is it to get 2 grand lak from katahdin lake?

i am here taking in the input from all. i am just making plans to do 12 days in the parks, and wanted to know how much i can get done

i am thinking of doing the hole park of baxter, i am not sure on how long it would take. i would start at katadin stream. and i would want to go all the way to the north part of the park, to second lake and come back and do knifes edge. any tip would be great. thanks
