  • ya i have most of the clothing i believe...im thinking boots and outer shell coats..i have snowshoes but not sure how aggresive they are, no crampons if needed but do have microspikes, they are awesome.
Nah, not this year anyway. Did manage to get two more firetowers, though. Did Poke-O-Moonshine on a kind of cruddy day then "struggled" to the summit of Belfry on a perfect one.
I bought all my grear last year. Other than the norm you will wantPOLY PRO underwear. I have light weight medium and heavy weight. I guess it all depends if you plan on spending the night or not. I have alot of warmer clothing for the over nights. The important thing is no cotton!
Yeah and Rob his name is Andy and dont hike with him he has rabies and it makes him hike really fast lol

Rob the answer to your question is that those plus signs indicate your friends that you have chosen to be on your friends list!
RPR is definitely a cool spot! Sat there by myself for a while on a cool, cloudy, misty day til the rest of the group got there. It's just kind of out there and a neat peak!
well im at 22..we should get together and hit them..I have plans on about 8-9 days near july 4th next yr to really go at them..you more than welcome to join if you can make it happen..
I will give you a shout for sure for Mc Nasty! POB camp is a great place to stay if you have enough people. The grace camp next door is just the same but smaller.
wow that sounds great... i havent gotten to any peaks via JBL area...next yr will be a different story as i hope to finish(22/46)
Its a 3.5 mile walk up the Johns Brook Valley in the heart of the High Peaks. Easily in reach from POB camp: Big Slide, Gothics, Wolfjaws(both), Basin, Saddleback, Haystack, Marcy, and over Marcy (Gray and Skylight). Plus lots of other smaller peaks, trails or objectives. I used to reserve its predecessor camps and then POB camp for about 15 years every winter for Albany ADK chapter. We'd arrive on Friday afternoon or evening, hike our brains out on Saturday, bit dinner and b-sing in the evening. Then those who had to leave would head out and other would hike on Sunday and or Monday.
