Earlier this month, I did a splendid loop in the Carter range with a night at Carter Notch Hut. I utilized the Camp Dodge shortcut to make the return to the Nineteen Mile Brook trailhead easier.
Even though I was solo, I met a lot of great people at the hut, who greatly enhanced my experience. I spent most of the second day hiking with some of those folks (Hi Lou, Amanda, Alan, Everett, and Ruben!).
