We were in the neighborhood so checked this out with the grandchildren.

We turned off Route 17 north of Coos Canyon in Byron onto Bemis Road and followed the road about 3.6 miles in. There are loggers' mile markers and we passed marker 3. The road is rough and I would not recommend it for low clearance vehicles. There are a couple of parking opportunities (recommended) just prior to the signed left. There is a new sign at this left turn for Angel Falls which a trail angel recently installed. Only high clearance vehicles should attempt to drive down the hill. It is not very far to the circular parking area with the large boulder in the middle. The trail leaves from the left of this area, is red blazed, in good shape and easy to follow. The falls are definitely worth the effort. A couple hours of leisurely hiking and hanging out made for a great time.
