this is an excerpt from the NWS web page.. this is part of their discussions that they post.. it's in their language SO it sometimes is hard to decipher.BUT take a looke at what they say for monday!!!!

and yes, i get obsessive when it comes to SNOW!!!

-1 AND 1C WOULD SUPPORT HIGHS ONLY IN THE U40S MTNS TO M50S VALLEYS
FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK. ALSO...THE COMBINATION OF NW FLOW
ALOFT...POTENT 5H VORT...AND GOOD WRAP AROUND MOISTURE WL HELP IN
THE ENHANCEMENT OF PRECIP ON MONDAY. WL CONT TO MENTION CHC POPS.
GIVEN THERMAL PROFILE AND 85H TEMPS BELOW 0C...WOULD NOT BE
SURPRISED TO SEE A FEW WET FLAKES ACRS THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE
DACKS/GREEN MTNS ON MONDAY. OTHERWISE...TEMPS WL BEGIN TO MODIFY
TUES AS TROF LIFTS AND LLVL WAA DEVELOPS.
:D

that's great! I took the NWS Skywarn Training as part of a meteorology course in college, and they warned us about this special language of theirs. This is probably the worst I've ever seen.

Maybe it is time for them to stop trying to out do each other ;)
