Trail Conditions: Boot Spur Trail is a mess, with lots of deep soft snow below treeline. Above treeline had a combination of too much rock to wear crampons, and enough snow/ice to still make it interesting walking/rock hopping.
Special Equipment Required: Definitely bring snowshoes.
Comments: Climbed up Boot Spur Gully 2 with some friends, then descended via the Boot Spur Trail. What a difference between climbing on the west side of the mountain Friday and the east side Saturday. Lots more exposed rock above treeline and deep soft snow below treeline on the east side.
