Headed out sunday for Cabot and Waumbek, and the Horn on Cabot for me. A guy I know has been sitting on these last two peaks to finish the NH list for about 5 years (took up mtn bike'n). So this spring I told him we need to get out and DO IT. Let's get her done. So sunday 04 June's the day.

Waumbek is vastly underrated in my opinion.
Great views from Starr King, fantastic open hardwood ridgewalk over to a comfortable little summit area.
And Cabot is where I finished my 48. I had never cared to "finish" but finally got around to it a few years back. Finished in a freak September snowstorm. It will always be a special place for me now.
I agree with Len. The Horn rules. Its about as big a summit area as my kitchen table but the view from there is awesome.

The Bulge is on the route too....another 100 highest...
I had a real hard time getting myself onto the highpoint of the Horn - great views. These two peaks are very underrated...Cabot approached from the north via Unkown Pond is a gem!
