After finishing Mt Hale in the morning and still seeing the sunshine, I just couldn't waste the afternoon so I headed over to Cannon.
The trail was a steep as it always is and the path between the outlook and the summit was muddy in all the usual places. On the final approach to the summit the wind kicked up something fierce. Its a good thing it was blowing me into the mountain. The views of Franconia Ridge and the notch shows how the clouds where rolling in for the predicted afternoon rain.
And ya gotta love the 50 cent view of Franconia Ridge...
I made it down just as the rain was starting. A very good day indeed. Thanks mom nature.
