Trail Conditions: Signal Ridge Tr was in good shape with little to no snow at the onset. Nearing the river crossing, which was easily hopped, there is about an inch or less of snow. Like most mountains the higher you go the more snow you encounter. The maximum snow depth we encountered was about 3 inches. There are some isolated icy sections. The most notable area of ice is after crossing the ridge to re-enter the woods for the final ascent.

The snow we encountered this morning had been mashed by foot traffic and severely softened by snow.

Special Equipment Required: microspikes were the perfect tool for the job. We wore them for the switchback sections of the ascent and most of the descent.

Comments: I met Views member MichaelJ and several 4K finishers. A big thanks to Trapper for a great hike and spotting bear tracks along the way. The temps were relatively mild and the views were amazing!!
