Trails: 19 Milebrook, Carter Dome, Carter-Moriah, North Carter, Imp Trail

Equipment: Snowshoes, which we wore snowshoes all day. Carried crampons but they stayed in the pack all day.

19 Milebrook Trail and Carter Dome nicely packed out up to Zeta Pass. There was probably about 1 to 3 inches of new wet snow. Big drifts on Carter Dome! Seriously, we were walking on the tree tops.

Trail very easy to follow over to North Carter junction and down to the Imp Trail. We actually saw blazes on the trees! The temperatures must have been warm over the past few days as the trees up high were not all ice covered and moving through the branches was not painful as it has been the past few weeks.

Coming down the Imp Trail the sun finally came out and warmed things up. We were post-holing even with our snowshoes.

Fun day with the Smiley Crew.
