Outstanding day for a hike, visibility was excellent. Footing was in good shape with minor spots of moderate trail erosion. A few blow downs above the Champney/Pitcher Falls loop, a couple in the trail, a couple across.
No bugs, no mud, used sticks to save knees. Sunny and clear at the top, so sunscreen if you are so inclined.
