Failed Ascent: Passaconaway

Oliverian Brook Trail was fine until the junction for the Passaconaway Cut-Off. Once I crossed the bridge on the PCO the river crossing was looking dicey. I initially turned around but then joined two brothers who seemed undeterred to see if they could pull it off without getting wet. They both dunked their boots so I removed my socks, gaiters, and footwear. It was a mistake I won't make again. Stupid move, nearly got frostbite and my toes are still feeling weird.
