With this cold front coming in tomorrow and Saturday, does anyone have any idea how it might look in the high peaks this weekend? Any chance of snowy summits? Trying to prepare and plan for a hike on Sunday up in the ADKs. Thanks for the feedback.

p.s. How are the leaves?

Lake Placid, around 2000 feet, is predicting rain for the next 8 straight days!

The lows are predicted to be in the 40's for Lake Placid. The temperature drops about 5 degrees F per 1000' of elevation gain, so I would not be surprised if it was below freezing up high in the mountains. Best to bring the gear and be prepared. I've already read a few reports of light snow up there a few days ago.

Last weekend, the leaves were so-so. It's been so dry, that this might not be a good year for leaf peeping. :(

Early on unlikely as weather will be remains of Tammy riding up the front line, if behind the front, good possibility. In Whites for higher summits tonight & tomorrow forecast is for rain.
