Thought it might be interesting to folks here. I don't really have any more info to add for discussion, but that was a relatively short stint compared to the previous executive director.

That's exactly the sort of press release that would also be issued if he was fired, unless somebody has some inside info we don't know who decided he was leaving.

When he was hired, my gut reaction was that he had no particular dedication to either VT or the GMC but I trusted the board who knew more to make the right choice.

After previously hiring from within, the AMC hired Falendar who was a hiker and an experienced non-profit executive but not from inside. He stayed a good long time so we assume the Board was happy with his work even if all members weren't.
