Weather was mostly clear sky's, with little to no wind and temps in the upper 70's to low 80's.

Trail was well maintained with no blowdowns. Started out on mostly soft ground for a while, then as approaching Bald Mountain, trail turns to mostly ledge. Today, the trail was quite dry, so there was no problem, but a wet day would make this a much more challenging hike. After the Jim Liberty cabin, the trail gets much steeper as you head up the south side of Chocorua's summit cone, but still, on a dry day like this it was no problem at all.

The summit was wall to wall people, so I only stopped long enough to enjoy my sandwich in the breeze before heading back down. I did however, pretty much had the Hammond Trail to myself.
