Trails: Caps Ridge, The Link, Castle Ravine, The Cornice, Jefferson Loop, Gulfside Trail, Sphinx

Trail Conditions: Caps Ridge is in fine shape. The Link is easy to follow but has some of the nastiest footing around - roots, moss covered rocks, and holes. The Castle Ravine Trail has some tricky footing down low but is mostly easy to follow, at the bottom of the ravine the trail crosses the brook then heads up the left side of the brook for about fifty feet then crosses back over out of the brook to the right. The upper part of the ravine above treeline goes over boulders and cairns lead the way. The Cornice, Castle Trail, Jefferson Loop, Gulfside Trail are in great shape. The Sphinx Trail is in good shape. I went in and did some trail work and blocked off some herd paths that were forming in spots.

Comments: Great day above treeline, If you like steep and remote trails the Sphinx is a lot of fun. It's a lightly used trail that is not blazed and I maintain in minimally (Wilderness Trail) but is easy to follow if you pay attention and really beautiful! Report / Pictures
