Trail Conditions: Bear Brook Road was snowmobiled, as well as the herd path to the col. Deep snow and snow encrusted trees on the bushwhack to KD peak.

Equipment:
Compass, snowshoes and poles

Comments:

We knew the road was driveable on Wiggle Brook Road to the beginning of Bear Brook Road from the day before. We parked there (late start) and walked the 3.3 miles of Bear Brook to the beginning of the herd path. Thankfully, one or two snowmobiles had continued up through the col saving that stretch of trail breaking:) Picked a spot at the col and headed to KD. The snow was deep and the trees had enough encrusted snow to slow us to a very slow pace until we reached the canister. Coming back out was a snap--until the drudgery of road walking that 3.3 miles again!:( GPS said 10.2 miles total.
