Anyone been up there recently?

I took on a second job for the season, so I haven't been up there in over a month, so I really have no idea if theres a snowpack or anything, and how much ice is prevalent above treeline.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just hate those days where I carry snowshoes for nothing.

And I know the slide trail is always a slippery pain in the @$$. But its a fun challenge.

No need for snowshoes, yet.

My microspikes just came along for the ride yesterday on Cannon. If we were descending Hi-Cannon trail instead of climbing it, I would have used them.

Definitely bring them if attempting the slide trail.

Alright, excellent.

Do you think crampons are still overkill? I figured I'd bring them just in case in addition to the microspikes.

But ya gave me the most important information I was looking for. I've gone on one too many hikes where I've carried my snowshoes on my back all day.

So thank ya very much.

Ive recently been on Flume and Librerty, all you need is micro-spikes,but you definety need those, going fron Liberty to Flume had a weird coating of snow that was thin but treacherous, I would not bring crampons.
