Conditions: Firm base with some squeaky packed powder. Stream crossings covered, although one was a bit scary with water running beneath an ice top. Summit with minimal snow. No significant blowdowns. FRT was not broken to the north. Some footprints on Flume Slide Trail.
Equipment: Traction helpful. I used microspikes to campsite and then MSRs in case FRT was blown in. It wasn't. Could be bare-booted if you're a masochist, but traction really helps.
Comments: Trail pretty empty. Saw only three other parties all day. Weather much nicer than advertised. Nice and calm in woods with some sun and not too windy at top. Probably because of the rain, there was no "trench," just a packed trail at about the level of the surroundings.
