Assuming no clouds, there will be a total lunar eclipse Saturay evening and should be mostly visible to folks on this site living on the east coast/northeast. Sorry Darren.

btw, as the article cites, this is the first eclipse since the red sox clinched the title. Only good things can happen this weekend.

I'm pretty sure the eclipse will happen regardless !
Hopefully it's a clear night. I'm camping out in VT somewhere peak-bagging (or just breaking trail until we collapse) with Puck this weekend.

While I'm looking forward to this event, my eclipse karma may have been used up in 2004 on a clear night as the Sox won the World Series!!!

Forecast here is cloudy w/chance of rain, hope they're wrong. Hoping to talk a buddy into an evening hike to a lookout nearby. john

Planning my hike for this sky event. In the White Mtns., Moon will be fully eclipsed as she rises slightly left of east, then due east shortly thereafter. I'm thinking of being above Crawford Notch, maybe Middle Sugarloaf Mtn., to watch and shoot the event rising over the Presidentials.
