What a beautiful little mountain. 3/6, decided to do this peak on a winter day with great conditions. I took the new trail, what a pain. It is not well marked and very hard to follow in winter. As a matter of fact I was on the trail only half the time because it just disappeared quite often. The disappearing trail does not present a real problem just follow a generally southwest direction and your pleasant bushwhack will eventually get you to the summit. Great views and it includes a firetower. On the way back I used the old trail, what a difference. It is a straight drop so you get to the bottom pretty quick.
