Date of Hike: 4/15/13
Trails: Imp trail from south parking area, North Carter Trail
Trail Conditions: Spring melt lower 1 - 2 miles, much snow upper mountain
Special Equipment Required: Microspikes and ski poles. Used microspikes from the trailhead, and took them off for the last 1 1/2 miles coming back down.
Comments: Lower mountain trail melted during the day. Sunny day and beautiful views. On upper mountain ridge there is some flat dry rock that is now exposed - good place to sit for lunch. Otherwise there is lots of snow on upper mountain. Trail is in good shape with almost no postholes.
