Moosilauke Ravine Lodge Question???

Next week I am planning to hike Mt. Moosilauke hopefully using the Gorge Brook Trail starting at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge. I have read somewhere in the past, ( I can't remember where ), that the access road to the Lodge off of Rt. 118 is closed in the winter. I'm not sure if it is closed with a gate, or just not maintained in the winter. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if the Lodge will be accessable for parking next week? Thanks for any help.

It usually doesn't close until late November, so the gate should be open. But an open gate doesn't always mean the road is drivable. There's already some snow on the ground so make sure you can drive back down whatever you drive up.
