Sorry for the delay in posting. (No computer up North)

Trail was broken out most of the way. Except for the new snow that fell the night before, plus a little wind erasing way up.

Nothing needed for first mile, but put on snowshoes at that point due to the upper level of snow collapsing from the warm rain prior to the overnight re-freeze. One group of 6 guys coming in, as we were leaving, were post holing here & there, as only 2 had snowshoes on. Plus they had overnight gear with them.
We could have switched to crampons for up & down the middle section of ledges, but were too lazy?? No one likes to change gear that much.
My guess is, it was all solid by Sat. as it was a cold, blustery day.
I usually shoot for comfortably cool, but I will admit I was dressed way too light & was uncomfortably cold most of the day. Started to add clothes on the ledges, but it was a little too late. Another lesson that I'll forget.
A great day with Bill (Pucknuts).
