Trail Conditions: In good condition leading up to 3,000'. After that, snow patches were visible in the woods. Snow in the trail started at approximately 3,400'. Some icy patches, but nothing that wasn't doable bareboot. There were several blowdowns in the higher elevations and the trail will need some work once the snow is gone.

Special Equipment Required: Pole - useful; waterproof boots & gaiters - highly recommended

Comments: Good day to be in the mountains. Glad I wasn't caught above the ledges when the rain came. I don't recommend this trail for dogs unless they are good at bushwacking as the ledges could pose some issues for them. Also, Bangor Road is currently getting worked on (water pipes, I believe) so just beware that you might have to wait a bit. The parking at the trailhead is also minimal, so be conscious of where you park and where the construction equipment will need to go.
