Date of Hike: 7/12/2013
Trail Conditions: Trail wet (obviously ), otherwise no problems
Comments: An unusual and very rewarding hike. I wanted to do 3,000 feet of elevation gain, with the option of adding another 300 feet if I felt fit enough (that would have brought the total to 1,000 meters, an elusive goal so far this year). Franklin involved 3,000 feet, and had I added Eisenhower that would have given me the extra 300 feet. Also, given the first decent weather in a long time I wanted to spend as much time as possible above treeline (a bit over a mile each way). Try it, you'll like it
