Mount Garfield
Gale River Loop Road / Garfield Trail
Date of Hike: 02/08/2014 (Saturday)
Trail Conditions: Road and the trail still have lots of nice snow. Trail was broken in, but still plenty of snow to snowshoe or bare boot based on personal preference. At least one guy skinned up and skied down.
Special Equipment Required: Some folks may need light traction for the steep section before the summit. All gear/clothing for low temperatures and moderate winds necessary.
Comments: Patches of blue skies and sunshine throughout the day. Summit was souped in with limited views. Lots of folks out today enjoying the snow. Photos/videos can be found here http://brian03104.blogspot.com/2014/02/02082014-mount-garfield.html
