Started at 1am from Appalachia in hopes of beating the sunrise. Brisk, Clear.

Airline, Short Line, Kings Ravine, Subway, Star Lake, Lowes Path, Valley Way

Airline and Short Line were in excellent condition. Dry, and not a twig out of place.

The rocks of the Subway were wet, but not enough to really slow one down.

The wind was howling once above the trees, and the clouds were keeping the sun at bay. But all trails were in as good of conditions as one would like.

Needed the windbreaker everywhere above treeline to stay comfy.

On a side note, while climbing under one of the huge boulders in the ravine at 3am, I mentioned "If I lived ANYWHERE that could possibly have an earthquake, I don't think I could be doing this." And whaddaya know. Biggest east coast quake in a long time. Go figure. I've always wondered what one would be like to experience, but I' m glad today wasn't my day to find out.
