We hiked up Mt Cabot on Sunday 5/31/15. The gate at the fish hatchery gate was open when we went through at 6:30am, much to our delight. It ended up being cold and wet and the trail was more like a stream than a trail. We saw one lone hiker at the cabin and two more going up as we went down. Looks like it would be a nice hike without all the water. We sent a note to the hatchery thanking them for the open gate. We didn't want to hike an extra 4.2 miles in the rain. This was #35 for us and the first 4000 of the year.
