Trail Conditions: unpacked snow the whole way with 4-6 inches down by the river up to 18-24 inches towards the summit.mostly fluff on top of a frozen crust..water crossings mostly ice bridged..a few open spots on the climb.trail is in great shape and wide open with only a couple of minor blowdowns..A little sprucy by the false summit..no vftt today. What a great route this is
as a side note.. Little River Crossings looked a little dicey..doable but there is open water
Equipment: snowshoes car to car..while trail is broken out there is little base and would be very tiresome without proper footware..
Comments: sure counted as a winter hike today with deep and fluffy snow..laden trees..biting wind in places though overall a warmish day..nothing came out of the packs.. Hard work on uphill in the unconsolidated snow but terrific moonsteps on descent...yee hah ..life is good
