Mt. Jackson - Saturday 3/4/06

Hiked to top of Mt. Jackson with Darwin on Saturday morning as light snow was falling. Some wind creating lot of drifts. Barebooted first 1.4 miles of trail, then put on much needed crampons for the remainder. High winds above tree-line, very gusty. Tagged summit and turned around immediately. Met a few groups of hikers on trails. Very nice winter hike.

If not, then you'll probably want to go back, on a clear day, you get an awesome view of the Presidential Range!

No views on this day but it was my third time up there, I know what you mean it does give you some great views on a clear day.
