Mount Kearsarge North via the Mount Kearsarge North Trail
6 miles round trip, 2600 ft. elevation gain.
7/19/2010
Trail conditions were mostly dry, but wet in spots due to sprinkles on and off prior to the start of the afternoon hike. Weather started out overcast, but the sun appeared by the time the summit was reached. I stretched out on the warm granite soaking up the rays like a cat. The 360 degree views which included Maine, Franconia Ridge, Mt. Chocorua and the Moats were fabulous from the enclosed fire tower! What a treat! Overcast skies returned when the hike ended. A truly magical day!
