My cousin & I had planned on Adams via Valley Way on Saturday but a late start (for us) and windy conditions had us go for Madison instead. A light dusting down low had us delay putting on spikes until just below the hut. We should have done it sooner but got into a groove & couldn't stop. Conditions above the hut were extreme. Temperature was around 5 with the wind blowing at a steady 50mph with higher gusts that were challenging to stand up to. We managed the summit after putting on everything we had at the hut. First time I've put on the EMS down parka. Very happy with the performance. Tough taking pictures but follow the link below for the few we took.
