Ammie Trail had packed snow with hard ice from seeps thrown in occasionally for excitement, but not bad. Monroe Loop was adorned with beautiful rime feathers, good cover and some ice. No blowdowns, crossings were mellow. All moot with tonight's weather, no doubt.
We wore microspikes to Monroe's summit but opted for full crampons for the descent.
Amazing day with no wind, comfortable temperatures and wonderful views. In spite of shallow snow cover, Mt. Washington was a white as it gets due to the rime covering. Great, easy day with good friends.
