MTB in Wales, UK - beta needed

My coworker (slacker who won't make his own VFTT account) is going to Wales and is interested in mountain biking there. Anyone have any info places to go, must ride trails, where to rent bikes, places to avoid etc?

He has biked here in the Northeast and out West, so he is up for an adventure.
