Just saw High Ground yesterday and would recommend it for its excellent photography in Nepal. Just as much for its story line: eleven veterans wounded in the Iraq and Afghan wars join a healing expedition to climb Mount Lebuche in the Himalayas.
While it includes footage of Erik Weihenmayer, a blind hiker who summited Everest, this is really a story about how these vets are struggling with their wounds.
It's opening next week in a few cities, including two screens in Boston, and will be available on video-on-demand.
I'm not affiliated in any way with the film.
