date: 12/12/12
trails: Hancock Notch, Cedar Brook, Hancock Loop
conditions: Light snow cover, ice and black ice. All stream crossings were low and easy to rock hop, though be careful of black ice. Bare booted it till somewhere between North and South peaks and then put on micro spikes. There was one small section coming down North South where the micro spikes didn't provide enough traction, but it was easy to get around.
In general the ice was soft enough to work with, but if there is hard freeze could be rather spick.
equipment: Micro spikes and poles to help with stream crossings
comments: Beautiful day 'b the hiker'.
